Tuesday Tunes #3

Here is a great little tune I discovered on the Breaking Dawn: Part 2 Soundtrack. It's so catchy and I love that Ellie Goulding is mixing her sound with Skrillex. Enjoy!

Twilight Mini Series // Bella Swan

Hello to my lovely reader(s)! Today I have for you the third look in my Twilight Mini Series: Bella Swan! This extremely nude and natural look is great for everyday and it's really easy to achieve!

In the books, Bella is described to have an, "ehh I don't really care" attitude when it comes to makeup and fashion. She's been know to go to school with literally just brushing her hair; so it makes sense that, for her portrayal in the movie, her makeup would be as natural and minimal as possible.
Products Used:
- Too Faced Shadow Insurance
- Urban Decay Naked Palette: Naked, Buck
- NYX Eyeliner Pencil: Brown
- Maybelline One-By-One Volume Express Mascara in Waterproof
- Elf Contouring Blush & Bronzer: Blushed and Bronzed
- Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm

I hope you all enjoyed this look and stay tuned for more!

Twilight Mini Series // Alice Cullen

Image from Twilight Wiki
Today we have my second look in the Twilight Mini series! This look is in honor of the adorable Alice Cullen. Alice caused me a bit of distress because I had no idea how to portray her! But in the end, I decided to do a fashion-forward smoky eye for the fashionista that Alice really is.

I've created a dramatic and beautiful smoky eye that is loosely based on the makeup look that Ashley Greene wears while portraying Alice in the third Twilight film, Eclipse.  I've used various matte brown shades and a few shimmery neutral taupe colors to create this look.

This look because it screams glamour while still not being too over the top. This is why I love this eye makeup so much!

If you wanted to do this look as an actual Halloween costume, feel free to achieve her ashen pale skin by mixing foundation in a shade or two lighter than yours along with some white face paint. Your skin will lighten while still looking natural!

Twilight Mini Series // Rosalie Hale

Hey everyone! I don't know if anyone is as excited as I am for the final installment of the Twilight Saga to premiere in less than two weeks. TWO WEEKS! It's been a very short 4 years since the first Twilight film was released and I can't believe it's almost over. So many memories have come from going to midnight premieres with my friends. I can't say I love Twilight as much as I love Harry Potter (because I don't), but I am still really excited!

Photo from FanPop.com
In honor of the final film, I've decided to do a series of makeup tutorials that are inspired by the films and the characters in the books. The first I introduce to you today: Rosalie Hale! In the books, Rosalie is described as "the most beautiful person in the world," as she is astoundingly gorgeous, even for a vampire. What a tall order that Nikki Reed had to live up to!

With this description, many people decide to portray Rosalie as the classic pin-up girl with the typical winged liner and bright red lip. I thought this was pretty cliche and I wanted to do something different. I decided to try and recreate a look that she wore in the third film of the saga, Eclipse. This look is a muted purple smoky eye with a natural lip color that I absolutely adored!

If you want to see how I achieve this look, make sure to watch my video!

Disclaimer: I'm not actually wearing contacts in these photos nor do I actually think I'm a vampire. I just thought it would be fun to have "Cullen Eyes."

Products Used:
- Too Faced Shadow Insurance
- Urban Decay NAKED Palette: Naked, Buck, Sin, and Virgin
- Coastal Scents 88 Color Eyeshadow Palette
- Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner Pencil: Rockstar

I plan to post a new video from this series every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday until the day the film premieres; the 16th. Make sure to subscribe for updates on when I upload more videos from this series! I hope everyone enjoys this look!

Magic Knights

This passed Friday XΩ hosted a Father/Daughter event at an Orlando Magic pre-season game. We had so much fun hanging out with all of the dads and watching the Magic play a great game. My dad picked me up at the dorm where we had a quick dinner while I finished getting ready. We drove downtown and met up with all of the girls and their dad's outside the Amway Arena. Hurricane Sandy was passing us in the Atlantic so, of course, the winds were really strong that day. Pictures were still taken, but the majority of us had wind blown hair. Ha!

We headed inside and sat all together in pretty good seats. We weren't on the floor but it wasn't the nose-bleed seats either. My dad and I decided to take advantage of the $10 concession counter and got some classic popcorn and Dr. Pepper in a souvenir cup. Of course everything was ridiculously overpriced; $14.50 for a chicken sandwich! A CHICKEN SANDWICH! It was a good thing we had already eaten.

After the game, we were able to head down to the court and take pictures as a group. It was a great experience! I'm so glad my dad was able to make it and that he enjoyed himself!

We all wanted to match so we could represent the sorority and out team so we all showed up wearing shades of blue, white, and black. I was wearing a top from a boutique in Rouen, France, a denim jacket from Target, "Artist" jeans from American Eagle, and nude flats from Urban Outfitters.

I'm now on Bloglovin!

XΩ "Letter P" Social with ΣΠ!

From Mr. Peanut and Priests to Preschoolers and Pledges, there were so many creative costumes Chi Omega's "Letter P" social with Sigma Pi last night! I wanted to take advantage of my Pink Ladies Jacket I got when I was performing in Grease so I decided to go as a Pink Lady! I went with full 50s style hair and makeup with bouncy curls, that of course went droopy as soon as I stepped off of the bus, and a bright red lip. This was my first "clubbing" experience so everything was new to me. We weren't able to rent out the club completely so there were other people there that weren't apart of our sorority or their fraternity. It kind of made things a bit awkward, at first, but it got better toward the end of the night!

I'm off to a Father/Daughter Magic game tonight! I hope it'll be a lot of fun so look forward to a post on that soon!

My Week in Photos No. 3

Some fabulous new shoes I bought from ShoeDazzle.com // My first experience at Knights Give Back, a day of volunteering with the school //  The final product of some dolls we were making for girls from Africa and girls of Orlando // How I spend my Saturday nights // Some wonderful tea I made for myself while I watched Halloweentown

Not a very busy week this week so there wasn't very much to capture. It's been a long week though; especially after some horrible things that went down with my professor. I'm glad I got this weekend to lay around and relax, watching movies and sipping tea. But get excited: new episodes of both Once Upon a Time and 666 Park Avenue tonight at 8!

I hope everyone had a great week!

Color Crush // Oxblood

This fall, there seems to be one color that is all over the place: oxblood. It's been on the runways, on all the blogs and plastered all over the makeup counters. I've fallen in love with this color and I thought I would go searching for some ways you could incorporate it into your wardrobe.

1 / 2
Incorporate oxblood by bringing it in with a cozy sweater or sweater dress. Pairing it with a neutral like black can tone down the color while still helping you look fabulous!
1 / 2
Wearing a pair of awesome oxblood pants helps you keep the colored-pant trend from the summer alive and well!

1 / 2
Not feeling quite so bold? Bring in this fantastic color with a cute bag or a bold lip!

Here's how you can get the look yourself!

How will you incorporate this color trend into your wardrobe?
